World leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance asked its remaining users from Iran to withdraw their money as the cryptocurrency exchange seeks to comply with international sanctions against their country, according to emails that were sent to Iran-based users.

“If you have an account with Binance and fall into that sanctions category, please withdraw your assets from cryptocurrency exchange as soon as possible,” was written in an email received by Iranian users.

As it was stated by Sepehr Mohammadi, a chairman of the board of the Blockchain Association of Iran, users from his country have been receiving such emails for months, but their numbers recently increased following renewed U.S. sanctions.

In accordance with the company policy and the U.S. regulators standards, Binance is not able to serve users in sanctioned jurisdictions if they want to provide services to American citizens.
