On Wednesday, November 14th, cryptocurrency Ripple (XRP) has displaced Ethereum (ETH) during the total crypto fall and became the world’s second-biggest cryptocurrency by market cap, according to the statistic from CoinMarketCap at 21:33 (GMT).
At the time of writing, the market capitalization of Ethereum (ETH) is set on $18,576,063,648 and is trading around $180 (-12,95%), while Ripple lost only 8,66% and its market cap is $18,770,895,774. XRP is trading at $0,46.
It's should be noted that this is not the first time, when ETH lose his position at top 100 cryptos. Previously, XRP increased by 24% and overtook Ethereum by market cap.
Earlier, Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, said that more and more companies will turn to blockchain startup products, rather than SWIFT, because of the advantages of Ripple in speed and manufacturability.
