Mining enterprises in the Chinese provinces of Xinjiang and Guizhou suspended their work during the tax audit.

As part of the investigation, which began on November 5, tax statements, assets and customer information were verified.

At the request of the Ministry of Public Security of China, mining enterprises signed a number of agreements with the government and tightened operating rules. In particular, they will now refuse to serve customers who refuse to go through the registration and verification procedure.

According to the publication, at the time of the inspection, the authorities disconnected the mining farms from the electricity. As a result of this, the enterprises suffered daily losses of 1 million yuan (about $143,700).

Now the investigation is completed, but it isn't known whether the power supply of mining farms was restored.

According to Blockchain.info, since the beginning of the week, the hashrate of the Bitcoin network has decreased by almost 20% and is currently at the level of 42 EH/s.
