The company announced in its Twitter account that the platform will allocate 15 BTC for distribution. The free cryptocurrencies will be credited to random Bithumb users who register in the system between November 12 and December 11, 2018. Bithumb also said that there will be the second event, more information will be provided in the near future.
As part of the airdrop, Bithumb will also hand out altcoins – ethereum and ripple. Participants with the highest trading volume for a particular week will receive a reward of about 7 BTC, while four participants who will take second place will receive 100 ETH each. All third place winners will receive 8,000 XRP. The airdrop winner will be known on December 24, 2018, he will receive the full amount of 15 BTC.
Airdrop is held in honor of the fifth anniversary of the Bithumb company. Now it’s the largest crypto exchange in South Korea. According to Coinmarketcap, Bithumb’s daily trading volume is over $1billion.
