A multinational engineering and electronics producer Bosch in collaboration with an open-source distributed ledger IOTA (MIOTA) have revealed their joint product — Bosch XDK, according to the recent announcement.

IOTA is an open-source of a non-blockchain based tech that focuses on enabling free microtransactions for the IoT (Internet of Things).

The Bosch XDK (Cross Domain Development Kit) is an editable scanner device and IoT coding platform.

According to the announcement, by 2020, there will be “more than 20 billion connected devices that interact in different manners, generating enormous quantities of data.”

The announcement also states that the Bosch XDK can be used “to collect specific real-time data and sell it via the IOTA Data Marketplace.”

Last year, IOTA concluded a partnership with Microsoft, Fujitsu, and Bosch in order to launch the first publicly accessible data marketplace for IoT.
