BitMEX crypto exchange launches its own division of Venture Capital. Led by Kumar Dandapani, a former partner of Nth-Degree Analytics, BitMEX joins Huobi, Coinbase, and Binance among the exchanges using venture capital.
Last month, BitMEX became an investor in Blockfolio, a crypto portfolio tracking application. In the recent financing round Blockfolio raised $11.5 million, including investment from BitMEX and Huobi.
One of the participants of BitMEX Ventures is Maxim Wheatly. His LinkedIn profile indicates that Wheatley has been working in BitMEX since September, as head of venture development to lead “global seed-stage investment and partnership activities."
