Yesterday it was reported that Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency digital wallet Blockchain has announced a partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation and distribute $125 million worth of Stellar Lumens (XLM) in order to promote cryptocurrency adoption.
Since then, this idea faced a lot of criticism from the community claiming that this is not the best way to foster adoption and will not make any sense. Thus, the announcement on Twitter was immediately followed by hundreds of replies accusing the project to be a scam.
Be very careful about using services that enable "give away" scams, it likely means that they are starved for revenue and will do anything for a quick buck. Don't trust them, don't trust people that are associated with them.
