The manufacturer of mining equipment Bitmain is preparing to release 90.000 Antminer S9 in the Xinjiang region of China ahead of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hardfork on November 15.
Bitmain wants to prepare for the emergence of two new versions of Bitcoin Cash – Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin ABC. Each Antminer S9 has a power of 14 TH/s.
Since October, Bitmain has been cooperating with mining farms in China’s far-western region of Xinjiang and negotiates the supply of large quantities of Antminer S9 equipment. Half of the marketing staff went to Xinjiang to talk with local mining operators about deploying equipment.
