Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange BTCC is going to close its mining pool business called BTCC Pool Limited because of business adjustments, according to the public statement of the company.

Thus, BTCC Pool announced that it will shut down all mining servers on November 15 and will cease operations indefinitely from November 30, asking member miners to switch their hashing power away from the pool.

The pool was launched in 2014 as one of BTCC's several business verticals apart from cryptocurrency exchange. Currently, the pool is accounted for about 1 percent of accumulative bitcoin hashing power, according to the data of blockchain.info.
