The Business Innovation Department in Dubai Customs organized a four-day workshop for its employees that was devoted to the potential and nature of blockchain technology, according to the report of local news media ITP.net.
It was also stated that the workshop is a part of Dubai Customs efforts to capitalize on the blockchain technology. The workshop included a briefing on main applications and functions of blockchain and best means to apply this technology in customs and supply chain work.
Earlier it was also reported that The Dubai Department of Finance (DoF) has partnered with the Smart Dubai Office (SDO) to launch a payment system based on the blockchain.
