A recent MIT Technology Review article titled “Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin says his creation can’t succeed unless he takes a step back”, implied that the founder of the second most well-known crypto needs to take a step back. The article has misled people into believing that this is the case.
However, Buterin stated very clearly in a Twitter feud after being accused of doing a Dan Larimer, creator of BitShares, Steemit, and EOS, who is known for moving on to other projects, that he has no intention of leaving.
1. I am not leaving. No plans to stop or reduce blog posts / ethresearch posts / github commits.
— Vitalik Non-giver of Ether (@VitalikButerin) November 2, 2018
2. Vitalik is "in charge": ETH is centralized! Vitalik is not "in charge": Vitalik is pulling a Dan Larimer! This is why BTC maximalists have zero credibility.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
- Buterin is an important figure in ethereum’s development since he is not only the creator of the crypto, but he also partakes in the research that strives to improve ETH.
- Having a single pivotal figure in a company means that if anything happens to them, then drastic change will follow. Hence the reason for such interest to Buterin as the main man in ethereum.
