During the press conference “What is the danger of the growth of the debt load of the Russians?,” the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Anatoly Aksakov, has suggested that Russia may have its own stablecoin.

Aksakov said:

“Conditionally, a certain amount of money may be transferred to a bank for a deposit, and the bank, on the security of this amount of money, releases the appropriate amount of crypto-tools. This is a currency issued by the Central Bank, since it relies on fiat money and its collateral is fiat money.”

However, it’s still unknown whether how or when such asset will be issued.

It should be pointed out that the crypto market has its own Crypto Ruble (RUBt) that is issued by Tether (USDT) for a long time.
