Grayscale, a digital asset manager, reported that its annual inflow had reached $330 million.
The investment report provides an overview of Grayscale's business over the past three months. Grayscale raised $81.1 million in the third quarter. Over the course of three quarters, the company earned $330 million, which is more than in all previous years. Over the same period, Grayscale earned only $25 million in 2017 and $17 million in 2016.
Michael Sonnenshein, the managing director of the firm, believes that institutional investors show more interest in blockchain technologies and services than ever before. At the same time, cryptocurrency markets have declined by 70% since the beginning of the year. Institutional investors contributed 70% of inflows in the third quarter. So far in 2018, the institutional investors accounted for 59% of the inflow.
