Singapore's Vidfish streaming service officially launched the new Blockchain video platform with 12,000 hours of Chinese content focused on the global market.
The company plans to use Blockchain technology to create a common ecosystem for users, content providers, celebrities, and content partners. A crypto coin VUO will allow users to pay content providers directly, directing revenue and feedback to the content producers. According to the company, this mechanism will complement the existing subscription model.
Vidfish content library is already available in over 190 countries. As of now about 150,000 users have registered in the Vidfish app. The content mostly consists of TV shows and movies of various categories. Vidfish collaborates with Chinese content providers, including Hunan Broadcasting Network Mango TV, Jetsen Huashi, Zhejiang Hua Ce Film & TV, and 1905.com.
