Ukraine will gradually legalize cryptocurrency by 2021, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine reports.
Realization of the programm is foreseen for the period up to 2021 in two stages:
- At the first stage in 2018-2019, Ukraine will determine the legal status of cryptocurrencies;
- At the second stage in 2020-2021, Ukraine will determine the providers of services, that hodl/sell/buy any virtual currency by the entities of initial financial monitoring.
Earlier in October, on the official website of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukrainian Parliament) was published a new document, according to which, Ukrainian crypto traders may get grace period.
