According to an announcement posted on official blog, IOTA (MIOTA) initiates public bug research for its digital wallet — Trinity Wallet.
It’s considered that Trinity Wallet will be a cross-platform wallet for the IOTA community.
Thus, the IOTA team wants everyone to take a part in security audit of Trinity Wallet:
“The team has delivered a great product. However, even after the multiple external audits we’ve had on the Trinity Wallet, we understand that security isn’t something you ever finish. It’s a continual process.”
It’s also said that the award for bug varies from $100 to $1,500.
Earlier this year IOTA had some “bad experience” with security audit. Back then, an outcry was triggered after a chain of emails messages sent among the IOTA team was made public, exposing the developers’ response to the disclosure of a critical bugs in blockchain block of IOTA.
