According to an anonymous job candidate from Revolut who wish not to be named, a digital banking startup sent him to find “at least 200 new signups to download the Revolut app, open an account, deposit ten Euros, and ask for a card that would come by mail a few days later,” ElDiario reports.
The candidate said:
“I thought about it and it seemed abusive to me, they play with people who are looking for work with a lot of enthusiasm, it’s free work.”
ElDiario estimated that with “30 to 50 applicants” who were going for identical position, Revolut could gain approximately 8,000 signups.
After a while, Revolut's head of business development Andrius Bicelka responded to candidate objections by saying that he’d been “the only one of 350 candidates to reject the practice.”
