One of the largest crypto exchanges in the U.S. Coinbase has fired a handful of staffers this week in its customer support, Yahoo Finance reports.
Coinbase administration admitted the cuts but refused to reveal the exact number of dismissed.
One insider from Coinbase said:
“People here are pretty upset about it, and so far senior leadership is handling communications poorly.”
Fired employees who reportedly worked in customer service, compliance, and fraud departments were cut from the company in order to cut costs amid tumultuous market conditions.
Earlier there were some reports, that Coinbase may hold its IPO already in the near future.
