The document was submitted by Yury Derevyanko, who in the beginning of October demanded from parliamentarians to consider his bill on granting tax holidays to persons owning virtual currencies as soon as possible.

The document states:

β€œIn particular, to stimulate the development of the virtual assets market, it is proposed to tax operations with such assets on corporate profits on personal income not at the basic rate β€” 18 percent, but at a reduced rate β€” 5 percent.”

Earlier, on September, the Ukrainian authorities decided to impose a tax on cryptocurrencies, although the official status of electronic assets in Ukraine has not yet been settled.
