Hollywood Implements Blockchain Technology to Reward Movie Lovers

In May, TaTaTu representatives announced its plans to create a blockchain platform for movie lovers.

“The DRM (digital rights management) is built on the blockchain to ensure film rights do not get lost. There are many examples of studios being bought, going bust, and rights getting lost,” Andrea Iervolino, a Hollywood producer and the head of TaTaTu stated back then.

In the summer, the company has collected $575M during ICO, having conducted the third largest campaign. Among the investors are Prince Felix of Luxembourg and the BlockTower Capital company. All the funds TaTaTu managed to collect went not only to the video content production but also to the creation of a platform that will become Netflix’s competitor. Platform viewers are rewarded in TTU tokens for watching videos and ads.

Participation in the blockchain project of such a famous actor as Johnny Depp will attract more attention to the company's activities and increase its audience and the number of TTU token holders. Following the news about the partnership, the TTU token has already risen by 20%. At 16:20 (GMT+1) its value increased by 15.92% to $0.132.

The token showed Its maximum value $0.85 in August, after a successful ICO.
