American law enforcement officers usually practice public auctions, in which the cryptocurrency confiscated from criminals is played out. However, in 2015, the authorities have already been criticized because of the hasty disposal of cryptocurrency obtained from Ross Ulbricht, the creator of the market Silk Road, since then the cost of bitcoin was at the level of $300.
  • On November 5, the U.S. Marshals Service also plans to sell 660 bitcoins which had been seized during a series of federal criminal, civil, and administrative investigations.
