Dark web dealer Gal Vallerius, better known as Oxymonster, has received the court decision. The offender was taken into custody in June 2017 and spent this whole time in prison in South Florida.

U.S. District Judge Robert Scola examined the case of the 36-year-old Dream Market dealer on the dark web. It is noted that Gal made a deal with the court. The charges were so serious that Vallerius was could face a life sentence. A plea bargain ruled out the threat of spending the rest of his life in the United States federal prison.

The offender admitted his guilt in the drug trade and gave authorities the passwords to his cryptocurrency wallets. Oxymonster accounts hold at least 100 BTC and 121.95 BCH, an equivalent of about $700,000. The funds will be confiscated in favor of the government. It is not yet known what the authorities will do with the obtained digital assets.

Vallerius, a citizen of France and Israel, was detained at the airport of Atlanta in 2017. It is reported that he wanted to attend the World Beard and Moustache Championship in Austin, Texas.

  • The further fate of the confiscated funds is of interest to the crypto community.
