Esther Babb has become the new director of business development in Gemini, the newly founded New York cryptocurrency exchange. Esther Babb is a former employee of Goldman Sachs and Citadel.
Babb's career began at Goldman in 2000, she worked in sales and trade, as well as in investments. In 2010, she joined Citadel, a Chicago hedge fund, as a senior business analyst.
Last year, Esther Babb became vice president in equities technology business management at Goldman. Bubb worked in data intelligence strategy with the bank before leaving in July 2018.
Gemini hired two more famous people. Sydney Bree Sheub, a former general counsel and corporate secretary in Rent the Runway, a fashion industry startup. The second is Janine Hightower-Sellitto, the former executive director of Nasdaq, who joined Gemini as managing director of operations.
