According to a recently published research made by analytical-research company Check Point, the level of cryptomining attacks on iPhones has increased nearly 400%.

It’s reported that attacks on Apple devices were made using mining software called CoinHive.

The research states:

“These attacks used the Coinhive mining malware, which has been at the number one position in the Index since December 2017, having emerged one year ago in September 2017.”

However, the study also said that attacks on Apple devices “are not using any new functionalities.”

It’s also reported that CoinHive is already impacts almost 20% of organizations worldwide.

Previously Apple updated Review Guidelines with banning all mining applications across the range of its platforms.
