At the WIRED25 Summit, co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, has compared the current state around cryptos analogous to the early period of the Internet.
"Now is a good time because it's scattered all the hucksters and scenesters," Ohanyan said during the panel.
He also believe that despite of the bitcoin’s volatility it's better than nothing “in countries where corruption is rife and citizens are at risk of having their assets seized by the government at any time."
However, Ohanyan admitted that in order to make crypto more accessible for people, it has to commit a "breakthrough in usability" like the Netscape web browser succeeded in late 1994.
