Microsoft Co-Founder and Seahawks owner Paul Allen has died from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma complications at the age of 65, CNBC reports.

Paul Allen passed away Monday afternoon in Seattle.

"While most knew Paul Allen as a technologist and philanthropist, for us he was a much-loved brother and uncle, and an exceptional friend. Paul's family and friends were blessed to experience his wit, warmth, his generosity and deep concern," said his sister, Jody Allen.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that Allen “made indispensable contributions to Microsoft.”

Paul Allen is a U.S. investor, researcher and philanthropist. The world know him as co-founder of Microsoft, but Allen also founded Vulcan Capital Inc and he was the owner of Seattle Seahawks — professional American football franchise based in Seattle.

He was also ranked 44th on Forbes' 2018 list of billionaires with net worth of more than $20 billion.
