According to the report of Kenyan news outlet the Star. the government of the country plans to use blockchain technology to deal with allocation and funds management of the cheaper 500,000 housing units.
As it was stated in the report, blockchain technology will be used to ensure the proper distribution of housing to deserving participants in the program and address issues of graft from both legislators and beneficiaries.
Kenyan government hopes that the implementation of decentralized technology will restore the public trust in the government’s housing initiatives and will become a remedy to the corruption problem in the country.
