The hackers exploited the vulnerability of the gambling EOSBet dApp to get into the EOS system, and stole money in the amount of $200k to $338k, according to different reports.
By injecting standard EOS accounts with malicious code, it seems that hackers managed to trick their smart contract, forcing to transfer a huge amount of cryptocurrency to their accounts.
The screenshot shows three illegitimate transactions. They transfer 65,000 EOS directly to a large crypto exchange.
EOSBet has not yet revealed the full extent of the damage, but EOS has confirmed that the developers have fixed the platform's vulnerability.
