Europe’s largest retailer Carrefour SA implement blockchain solutions.
According to the Reuters report, the company Carrefour SA has adopted a special blockchain network that helps to track and trace chicken, eggs and tomatoes as they travel from farms to stores in order to raise the quality and safety of these products.
French retail giant uses the technology that is developed by IBM which is working with different retailers, logistics firms and farmers to implement systems to secure their global supply chains.
As it was also noted, Carrefour will deploy the same blockchain system across all of its fresh product lines in coming years.
