Immigration and Customs Enforcement official claimed that cryptocurrencies can be traced.
According to the statement of Matthew Allen, an assistant director of domestic operations with the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), cryptocurrency transactions can be traced.
In a document, Matthew also noted that most of the purchases on darknet other unindexed websites and are often made with cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and monero, among many others.
The government official claimed that it is possible to trace cryptocurrency conversations as they are much more vulnerable and therefore can be easily traced.
