According to South Korea local media, Seoul mayor, Park Won, announced that Seoul will create a blockchain complex to house around 200 companies as well as create a 100 billion won ($88 million) fund to foster talents in the blockchain field.

Mayor Park Won also noted that The fund will be created through private and public investments and will be used in order to foster an ecosystem for the emerging technology.

The city has already had such partners for blockchain adoption as tech giant Samsung SDS and Kakao's blockchain subsidiary Ground X.
