It has been reported that ethereum’s Dapp-building framework Embark has acquired new features so that it would be easier for developers to“embark into the ether.” This new update is part of a larger program called Status, that hopes to expand Web3, the next generation of the internet experience, a decentralized web. Embark 3.2. is the building framework for decentralized applications (Dapps).

The developer of the Dapp-building framework remarked on the team’s eagerness:

"We are all really excited about Embark 3.2 as it is a really big step for us as a team and a product. We have included 20 major updates … [and] around 45 minor updates & bug fixes. These are the types of features that will make life easier for developers new to ethereum and some of the most experienced blockchain devs alike. We now have a very strong team in place to continue this type of progress and look forward to the features we have in the pipeline."

Some of the new included features are the support of Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain, a fresh build pipeline, and compatibility with ethereum’s programming language Vyper, and their decentralized data storage platform, Swarm.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

  • The development of Dapps is a major part of the overall evolution and a more mainstream adoption of blockchain technology outside the financial sphere.
