The representative of Kenyan government said that the country should tokenize its economy
As was reported by Kenyan local mass media, the chairman of Distributed Ledgers and Artificial Intelligence task force Bitange Ndemo said that the government should tokenize the economy.
Ndemo advised that the Kenyan government should implement blockchain in its systems in order to deal with increasing rates of corruption and uncertainties. It is considered that the transparency of the blockchain system will help to overcome these issues.
The task force was created in March aiming to establish whether the country is ready for Blockchain technology. It also proposed the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency to operate in fixed nominal terms and as a valid legal tender
