Hsiao Hsin-chen - a candidate for a seat in Taipei City Council received a bitcoin donation for his political campaign. According to BusinessNext, the donation equals 325 dollars. One month ago, the candidate announced that his campaign would accept cryptocurrency donations.
Hsia considers that cryptocurrency donation will bring positive payoffs to the whole political system of Taiwan and help to make it more transparent and fair due to special blockchain features.
As was reported earlier, Taiwan congressman Jason Hsu claimed that soon Taiwan will turn into a “specialized economic zone” with big offices for 200 blockchain firms after the introduction of friendly crypto market regulations.
