International crypto exchange Bithumb announced that they are holding a “cryptocurrency transaction fee payback promotion.”

The promotion is exclusively for overseas users who will complete transactions over KRW 1 billion (~$890,000) between September 20 and October 21 this year. Users will be refunded 70% of the transaction fees between November 5 and November 9.

The head of the marketing department of Bithumb, Andy Choi said: "Global interest in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum is growing due to fast international money transfer as well as easy transaction… We appreciate our overseas users for their trust in and transaction on Bithumb. We are glad to continue this event in September as well to reward them for their support."

Earlier this week Bithamb has added support for Waves and ChainLink (LINK) tokens. To celebrate the event, the exchange is offering to reimburse users with 1% of waves and chainlink upon a deposit.

Bithumb has also re-opened the registration for new users which was halted on July 31 due to the need to “improve the service”. Local sources, however, claimed that the real reason behind the move was a conflict between the platform and a bank regarding the terms of their contract that arose after a successful cyber attack in which $31 million were stolen.
