According to the announcement of Dutch digital security company Gemalto, the IT developer entered into a partnership with Blockchain Consortium R3 to deploy its digital ID application via the Corda Platform.
Implementation of the new system will provide users with the opportunity to take control of their personal data and to safely share it with chosen service providers.
Companies are willing to experiment with digital ID technology and develop a pilot of the application called - Trust ID Network that is expected to be launched later this year. The announcement claims that digital service providers would be able to utilize a fully verified and secured system of user’s personal data through enabling digital ID.
