WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

  • Ukraine is one of the most open countries of the former CIS to blockchain and cryptocurrencies. It has already tested the voting system on the blockchain and repeatedly talked about plans to transfer state services to a distributed ledger and introduced a decentralized system for managing seaports. Ukraine plans to legalize the cryptocurrency in 2019.
  • Ukraine is not the first country in the world that wants to create its electronic money. For example, Petro national cryptocurrency, secured by oil assets, is used in Venezuela. Also, many countries are actively introducing blockchain into various state institutions. For example, in Dubai, within the framework of the blockchain strategy, it is planned that by 2020 all government structures using blockchain technology will enter the Smart Dubai project.
