The application of one of the most popular wallets for BTC and BCH, Bitpay, has been removed without any warnings from Google Play Store.
Bitpay has not reported any updates or service interruptions lately, which could have been the reason for such a move from Google’s side. Therefore, the disappearance of the wallet application from the store was a complete surprise.
Bitpay application has been downloaded by Google Play Store users over 100,000 times and had an average rating of 4.5 stars, which indicates a fairly high degree of customer confidence in the service. There have also been no reports of cracks or security breaches.
Bitpay is also famous for its services aimed at sellers and service providers who want to accept cryptocurrency as payment alongside with fiat money. Bitpay has a number of unique features, such as integration with Coinbase, Glidera, and Shapeshift, the ability to buy Amazon and Mercado Livre Brazil gift cards, as well as integration with Visa credit cards (only in the U.S.).
