Vitalik Buterin explained his words about the future growth of blockchain assets. His sharp statements provoked a violent reaction in the crypto community.
Earlier, the founder of Ethereum (ETH/USD) said that the period of an explosive rally for the market of blockchain assets, during which they repeatedly demonstrated a thousand-fold growth, came to an end. This statement did not remain unnoticed in the crypto community.
The CEO of the Binance Changpeng Zhao answered to this remark, by saying that he is confident that the cryptocurrency will continue to grow by a thousand or more times. One of the co-founders of Ethereum Joseph Lubin also disagrees with a pessimistic forecast. He said that now the blockchain community is at an early stage of evolution and there are significant changes ahead of it.
Buterin’s longtime opponent, the founder of Tron Justin Sun, also connected to the squabble. He believes that such conclusions are early to be made and time will show how impressive the effect of cryptocurrency will be on the global economy.

However, Justin Sun, himself, was involved in the dispute with Buterin. After the first reactions to the statement of Buterin appeared in the media, he published a tweet, in which he mentioned the founder of Tron. Vitalik hinted at his excessive optimism. In response, Sun said that he really believed that all the world wealth would turn into cryptocurrencies.

The confrontation between Buterin and Sun began some time ago. The founder of Ethereum accuses his colleague of plagiarism when drafting the project documentation. First, Sun on Twitter listed seven advantages of Tron before Ethereum, and then Buterin added the eighth paragraph, which said: "8. Better white paper writing capability (Ctrl+C + Ctrl+V much higher efficiency than keyboard typing new content).”
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
- Buterin believes that now every average educated person has heard about the blockchain at least once, therefore, no new powerful rally is foreseeable in the near future. But at the same time, the community should involve people already interested in real economic activity related to the blockchain industry.
- Earlier Justin Sun, on accusations of plagiarism from Buterin, responded politely and thanked Ethereum for inspiration in creating the best decentralized platform and invited Buterin to study the source code of Tron in the Github project repository.
