On Tuesday, August 28, the price of bitcoin (Bitcoin: BITCOIN) again exceeded $7,000. Thus, the first cryptocurrency returned to the levels at which it last traded three weeks ago.
As of 20:00 (GMT +1), the average weighted bitcoin rate, according to CoinMarketCap, is $7,041, the capitalization of the cryptocurrency is $121 billion.
It is worth noting that the currently observed green candle has become the second in a row over the past 24 hours. On Monday, bitcoin went up from a mark of $6,700 in a short time, reaching $6,900. Also in the green zone is the majority of altcoins, while the total capitalization of the market is $230 billion.
Market players reacted to optimistic forecasts of analysts. As such, Omkar Godbole said that despite the negative decision by the SEC on bids for bitcoin-ETF, the price of the first cryptocurrency was kept at around $6,230 (the lower value on August 20). This, in his opinion, gives confidence that the market is almost not reacting to this kind of news.
During the weekend, the co-founder and CEO of China's largest crypto exchange BTCC Bobby Lee said that in the coming years the bitcoin price will reach $60,000, and the total cost of the first cryptocurrency in circulation will reach $1trillion.
However, at the same time, the founder and partner of Morgan Creek Digital Assets Anthony Pompliano expressed the opinion that the bitcoin rate will continue to fall and may even reach $3,000.
