Randi Zuckerberg, businesswoman, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s elder sister, joined the expert committee of the Huobi Chain blockchain project. As reported on the website of Huobi Global, the expert committee will be the Analytical Center of a Singapore-based trading platform. It will also provide advice and support to the participants of the Huobi Chain’s project: Superhero Championship Program, launched several months ago to attract professionals to develop public blockchain company.
In addition to Randi Zuckerberg, the committee membership was also received by crypto investor Jeffrey Wernick and Jihan Wu, the co-founder & co-CEO of Bitmain.
Mark Zuckerberg’s sister was one of their first Facebook employees, working as a spokesperson and a marketing director. She is the founder & CEO of Zuckerberg Media content creation company.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
- Earlier in May, Facebook launched its own blockchain department, but the details of the project, over which the social network is working on, are not disclosed. The head of this unit, David Marcus, was forced to leave the board of directors of Coinbase for the sake of cooperation with Facebook.
- Randi Zuckerberg does not work for the company, so her appearance on the Huobi Global committee should not be the cause of the conflict.
