More and more countries are opening their very own educational blockchain programs. Turkey isn’t standing in the isles either and has opened its first university-based blockchain center. This has been done in order to increase the number of blockchain experts in the country to start implementing the technology more widely.
The Istanbul Blockchain and Innovation Center at Bahçeşehir University will give the opportunity for those who are interested in the field to conduct their own blockchain-related research. The director of the center Bora Erdamar claimed that the center has the potential turn into the most important in Turkey research, development and innovation-wise, for this he noted that cooperation with universities, business’ and government institutions is required. Emphasizing the fact that along with the rest of the world, Tukey is striving towards digitization. Erdamar also believes that it is not impossible for Turkey to become one of the leading countries in blockchain technology which will “transform humanity”.
