Four cryptocurrencies appeared in currency converter section of the web search giant Google: Bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), bitcoin cash (EXANTE: Bitcoin.Cash), ethereum (ETH/USD) and litecoin (LTC/USD).

The system also now automatically displays the converter for requests "bitcoin", "litecoin" and "bitcoin cash".

The default rate is displayed relative to the local currency. Quotes in the Google converter are different from the data of the popular analytical service Coinmarketcap.

Earlier, Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) co-founder Sergey Brin, has admitted that he’s immensely interested in cryptocurrencies and that he mines ethereum alongside his 10-year-old son.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

1. The appearance of cryptocurrencies in the converter can be regarded as recognition of status from the search engine. Previously, Google banned advertising ICO and everything associated with crypto-currencies.

2. Recently, another internet giant has become open to crypto. Coinbase became the first company to once again have its ads displayed on Facebook. Thats after Facebook revisited its views regarding crypto-related ads, the U.S. exchange got to be the first back on the pages of the social network.
