Just after TRON’s cryptocurrency completed the mainnet move, an adult-entertainment website Pornhub announced that it will accept TRON tokens as a payment method, Variety has reported yesterday.
Pornhub has had a close relationship with cryptocurrency before. Verge (XVG), a cryptocurrency which scrambles users IP and location information, ensuring privacy, was accepted by Pornhub for payment earlier in April. The company is also planning to include ZenCash in the future.
Pornhub’s Vice President Corey Price said in a statement: “Decentralized payment systems have continued to grow in popularity, and cryptocurrency adoption is exploding across a broad economic spectrum...Today, cryptocurrencies are especially viable in the adult entertainment industry because they are privacy-centric and incorporate more anonymity tools than traditional tender.”
In May there was a casting call for the 2018 Pornhub Games, which featured an awards ceremony with cryptocurrency prizes in VIT - Vice Industry tokens, a cryptocurrency that is rewarding adult video viewers and actors.
It should also be noted that founder of TRON, Justin Sun has acquired ownership of BitTorrent earlier this month.
