One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Huobi has announced a new listing. Cryptocurrency WAVES has appeared on the platform June 22 and is available in pairs with bitcoin and ethereum. Currently, deposits and trading are among available options, while withdrawal opportunity will be to access from 16:00, June 24, 2018 (GMT+8), according to the official announcement.
Following the news, the price of the cryptocurrency has risen to $3,7 but later went back down. The current price can be tracked here.
It’s also worth noting that one week ago OKEx, currently the second largest exchange in the world by 24h volume has also added WAVES on its platform, trading it against BTC, ETH, USDT, and OKB. It must be noted that WAVES is now being listed on top-3 largest crypto exchanges although it’s only a 42nd largest cryptocurrency at the time of writing.
Earlier in June, before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, waves released 100,000 MutCoin (MTN) tokens.

Half of those will be given to platform’s users with the rest going to the Russian football team. Waves will buy out the tokens after the 2018 FIFA World Cup ends. The maximum prize fund could reach as much as $2,5 million depending on how well Russia does in the competition.
