Ripple CEO: ‘Bitcoin Owned by China’

Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple was full of insightful opinions while on stage at the 2018 Stifel Cross Sector Insight Conference, held in Boston according to thestreet report.

Talking of the Blockchain technology, Garlinghouse said “there are three indicators of market winners. Product Market Fit, Customer Traction,Regulatory Engagement"

-Bitcoin

Garlinghouse believes that Bitcoin is owned by China. “There are four miners in China that control over 50% of Bitcoin...How do we know that China won't intervene? How many countries want to use a Chinese-controlled currency? It's just not going to happen”

-Ripples ultimate goal

Talking of his own company, he believes the endgame is about winning people over with customer experience. “We can fundamentally change the way this works, to bring an entire population up a step in the system.”

Brad’s punch line was “We're at mile 1 in a 26 mile marathon"

Earlier in May Ripple CEO expressed his thoughts regarding Bitcoin’s influence on the cryptocurrency market, saying that it will wane as soon as the characteristics of other coins will become common knowledge
