Justin Sun, the founder of TRON platform, acquired the software company BitTorrent Inc.

The deal was allegedly confirmed last week, after which BitTorrent managers reported it to their employees. According to the source, they also were advised not to distribute any information.

Despite several requests, BitTorrent representatives and Justin San himself have refrained from making comments. Also, at the moment, there are no financial details of the transaction.

Information that BitTorrent is in the process of sale to the founder of TRON appeared in May. Notably, BitTorrent Inc. was renamed “Rainberry” last year.

Earlier this year revealed that Rainberry was sued because it allegedly violated a “No Shop” clause in an agreement with a person named Justin Sun who asked for a restraining order to prevent BitTorrent from talking to other potential buyers, but Sun’s request was dismissed in court.

TRON’s founder registered the “Rainberry Acquisition” company in California at the end of February when the exclusivity period set in the letter of intent ended.
