Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) co-founder Steve Wozniak agreed with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey who recently said he believes that bitcoin will become a single global currency because it “is mathematically defined.”

"I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it's going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking," Wozniak told CNBC on Monday.

In the past, he disclosed that he had purchased the digital asset “out of curiosity” when a single coin cost $700 USD. Wozniak then said he cashed out his holdings when Bitcoin hit its $20,000 milestone in December 2017. He commented that he only wants to experiment with technology and not be an investor.

Earlier in May, Steve Wozniak in his opening speech at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2018 in Vienna, Austria, said that cryptocurrencies will achieve their full potential in a decade, touting blockchain as a “great idea”.
