Bitbay, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Poland, intends to cease operations in the country and relocate to Malta, as local banks are no longer cooperating with the platform. The announcement was made on May 29th - users will be able to access their zloty (PLN) accounts until the end of May 31st, after which they will be suspended. All of the exchange’s other functions will be available until mid-September.

“After the expiry of the notice period, that is from 18 September 2018, users will be able only to withdraw all of funds deposited on the account without the possibility to deposit them there once again. From 17 September 2018 the trade on the BitBay exchange in Poland will be suspended.”- company stated.

BitBay isn't the first exchange to make the move to the crypto-friendly jurisdiction - earlier this year, both OKEx and Binance relocated to Malta, citing the country’s “progressive” view on digital currencies.
