Police officers of the Communication Department of the National Police in the Rivne region, Ukraine for about four months were involved in the illegal cryptocurrency mining directly in the workplace, 368.media is reporting today.
The police officers are charged with the theft of electricity belonging to the management of the National Police in the Rivne region. The amount of electricity that was stolen is not reported.
Earlier In April, employees of the Internal Security found in the office building belonging to the Communications Department working equipment for mining.
The bureau confiscated items from two wooden frames, with the total amount of eight video cards, six power supplies, two hard drives, a motherboard and a full-fledged system unit.
The type of cryptocurrency which became the subject of the mining was also not specified.
